Troop 7456 History
Gahanna's Troop 7456 is the city's first all-girls troop for Scouting America (formerly BSA or the Boy Scouts of America). We were established in 2019 by four Cub Scout friends, following the 2017 decision to allow girls to join the BSA program.
How did we become called 7456? The number 7 at the beginning is the designation for a girl troop, and the numbers 4, 5, and 6 represent the birth months (April, May, and June) of the four founding troop members.
Since 2019, Troop 7456 has proudly produced five Eagle Scouts, and in March 2025, the Gahanna City Council passed a resolution to honor the troop for its contributions, paving the way for other young women in the community.
